About Us
Snippets Racing operated from 2020 to 2025, introducing hundreds of first-time owners to thoroughbred ownership and providing bloodstock services to an established client base.
Andrew Augustine raced horses over twenty-five years with considerable success for his clients. The biggest success was the Mrs Snippets syndicate Andy established, which raced a 10% share in Gotta Kiss (purchased for $150,000, 2nd in the Group 1 JJ Atkins 2020 and sold for $800,000). Gotta Kiss ran in both the Magic Millions Classic and Magic Millions Guineas.
As a public syndicator, Snippets Racing achieved over 80% winners to runners including Listed stakes winner Chilled (featured in ANZ News on May 8, 2023) and stakes-placed Arugamama. In the later years, Andy focused on bloodstock investments for private clients before concluding the business in June 2025.
Andy's passion for racing began in childhood, spending weekends on the family property and attending the races with his father. He spent his gap year between university studies gaining valuable hands-on experience as a stud and yearling groom at the acclaimed Trans Media Park stud (now Twin Hills Stud) at Cootamundra.
Andy was employed as the Sales & Communications Manager at MAKYBE Racing and Breeding for 2 years, representing the stud at yearling sales and marketing the stud's stallions during a golden era when the farm consigned Group 1 winners All Too Hard and Pear Tart.
Andy established many strong industry contacts including at Magic Millions, where he was instrumental in orchestrating the naming of the Magic Millions sprint race as "The SNIPPETS" in honour of the inaugural Magic Millions winner—bred at his family's farm Gregadoo Stud and co-owned by his father.
Snippets Racing concluded operations in June 2025. This website remains as an archive of our success and the horses we were privileged to be involved with.
